hi there

at a guess you have either a dodgy relay or have picked up the wrong "power supply " line out of the loom

can you hear the relay clicking on and off???

You must have connected the + from the battery to the high beam side of the relay.

Check the wiring out again.

The new Hilux is negative switching.

Run the relay's coil to the headlight. Don't ground the relay.

Red with yellow trace is the switched negative supply on the left and right hand light that turns on high beam.

Black is positive on the right hand light and red is positive on the left hand light, both the black and red wires have power all the time.

Connect the red with yellow trace to pin 86 and the red or black wire to pin 85 of a relay, pin 30 via a 20 amp fuse to the battery and pin 87 to te positive of the spot lights.
